When all of the cards have been dealt, the players take turns in order to show them to each other. They also have the option of discarding them. After revealing the cards, players can choose to bet into the pot or fold.
The smallest of these wagers is the ante. Sometimes referred to as the “buy in” bet, this is a small, one-time bet that can range from a few cents to a few bucks.
Another is the rake. The rake is a small percentage that is taken from the pot each time a player bets.
