Casino features a lot of violence including the torture of a man with a vice, the murder of a woman in a cornfield and the suicide of a casino owner by overdose. While these scenes are over the top, they are faithful to the true events of the story. It also portrays how the mob controlled much of the gambling in Vegas in the 1970’s.
