Poker is a card game which uses a standard deck of 52 cards. The cards are ranked from Ace to ten. Players place their bets in the pot until the end of the round. The highest hand wins the pot.<\/p>\n
Poker can be played with up to eight players. The number of cards in the game and the number of rounds are different depending on the game. Some games have a limit on the number of chips in the pot.<\/p>\n
The first player to place a bet is called the “first bettor”. That player must put in the minimum amount in the first betting interval. He then has the right to raise, check, or fold.<\/p>\n
After the last bettor bets, the next round of dealing begins. This is the first of three rounds. Each player is dealt one card face up, and then another round of betting occurs between the new cards.<\/p>\n
When two players have the same card, they form a pair. If no two players have the same pair, ties are broken by the highest unmatched card.<\/p>\n
All poker games have one or more betting rounds. Once a player has folded, all other players must also fold.<\/p>\n
Cards are then shuffled. Any player may take a new card from the top of the deck.<\/p>\n
